The Shell, according to Club Silicon, is a tribute to the Manga phenomenon Ghost in the Shell. In the words of Brandon I am ‘uninitiated’, so I cannot comment on this part of the songs existence. However, I get the feeling this is a very large influence for Alexander and must play a part in several of his pieces. This is a truly immersive song and I urge you to download it.

Set against a backdrop of 80’s polysynths the extreme 8-bit tune dot’s in and out creating a lovely mellow blend. There are several versions of this song, but I’ve found the instrumental is my favourite, simply because the music is so relaxed and perfect.
