I logged on to last.fm this morning to find that there’s a new Edwin Van Cleef mp3 for download - how pleasent! For those of you who’ve never heard of him, Edwin is a British electro-house artist. He has a similar style to Russ Chimes or Futurecop! - influenced highly by the glamour and glitz of disco.

You know Justice, right? Right? If you do then this post will most likely be useless to you, because you will already appreciate what an impact they’ve been making over the last couple of years. If you don’t know them then I am here to help!

Just for those of you that don’t know Justice are at the forefront of the recent wave of a new breed of house music. Primarily consisting of artists from France, the movement is sometimes known as, or referred to as the French Touch. Artists behind this movement, and particularly Justice, fuse elements of electro-house and glitch house with highly saturated synths to create a very abrasive sound.

Would you believe I spent about 4 or 5 years searching for this song!? I heard it once on TV and since then I desperately searched for it… Now you might be thinking ‘how can it take you that long?’ It’s not that obscure a song!

To be honest I don’t think I can safely pick just one song to recommend to you by Russ Chimes… But seeing as that is kinda what I do here I’d better carry on in the same style! Therefore, I pick…

Ok, just a quick one. This artist popped up in my last.fm music player today under the “Le Knight Club Similar Artists Station”. I’m not really sure whether I am allowed to like this music. The motives seem to be similar to the filtered-house stylings of the Daft Punk lot, and the whole ‘French Touch’ scene… But it kinda smacks of pop!
