Well, it’s a return to an old favourite. I originally blogged about this band last year when I first set up RMB. And now they’re back! I was on the bus home from work tonight when this song came on shuffle on my iPod - and since then I’ve gone back to it every other song.

Daily Rec: A strangely compelling song from Sigur Rós

Well now this song is lovely! Recommended to my through a fellow fan of Kyte (who I blogged about a few days ago) I’d heard a lot about Sigur Rós, but never really listened to them. So I bought an album, I believe this is the most recent one. This opener was just about all I could have asked for!

Daily Rec: “A down tempo masterpiece”

So last night I started watching ‘the 4400′. It seems like it’s gonna develop into quite a good series. One thing that I really liked about it was the music. A lot of it was obviously specially composed for the show – but during one montage scene this song was used.

It was perfectly placed, it’s a very chilled song, with a strong sense of melancholy, and almost reminiscence (in an odd sort of way). Very similar to my recent post about Zero 7, it’s a down tempo masterpiece.
