Things appear to be kicking off amongst some veteran French House producers… Axel Le Baron and Rico the Wizard (aka Eric Chedeville) have started up a new label, Darling Records, and are busy releasing some really great tunes.

So far 3 releases have come out of the project, all suitably reminiscent of the type of music being produced by the early French Touch artists of the 90’s. It seems people are ready for the rebirth of French House!

It has been rumoured that there may be some involvement from Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo at some stage. It’s not unlikely that the co-founder of House giants Daft Punk will step in at some point – he and Eric previously worked together on the Crydamoure label and released songs together under the name Le Knight Club. However, with the recent news of Daft Punk scoring the Tr2n soundtrack, plus a new album of their own in the works too when he might find time is anyone’s guess!

Sadly the catalogue hasn’t made it on to Spotify yet, but you can hear samples on the official label websites and download the songs from iTunes.
