Daily Rec: A strangely compelling song from Sigur Rós

Song: Gobbledigook
By: Sigur Rós

Well now this song is lovely! Recommended to my through a fellow fan of Kyte (who I blogged about a few days ago) I’d heard a lot about Sigur Rós, but never really listened to them. So I bought an album, I believe this is the most recent one. This opener was just about all I could have asked for!

It’s so weird with the harmonised “la la la la la la la”ing and the rhythmic beating of the drums, but it works so well! It’s no wonder the kids are going crazy for this!

It’s not quite the same vibe as Kyte, but the two will undoubtedly share common fans. I’d also recommend Kings of Convenience - Slightly more jazzy, but equally as chilled and mellow.

Anyway, a totally weird song but amazing for it!

P.S. if you know what he’s saying please translate it for me, I’d love to know!
