Song: Worry About You
By:

So last night I started watching ‘the 4400′. It seems like it’s gonna develop into quite a good series. One thing that I really liked about it was the music. A lot of it was obviously specially composed for the show – but during one montage scene this song was used.

It was perfectly placed, it’s a very chilled song, with a strong sense of melancholy, and almost reminiscence (in an odd sort of way). Very similar to my recent post about Zero 7, it’s a down tempo masterpiece.

What I like best is how you’re never more than 4 bars away from the really atmospheric instrumental passage! The structure is ridiculously un-complex – which is probably essential for a song in this style.

To be honest, I wouldn’t care if the song just kept going forever, flipping from the calming lyrics “Bye bye baby, don’t be long – I worry about you while you’re gone” to the epic instrumental section with the ‘big drums’ and the ‘floaty piano sound’. :)

I managed to find the scene from the 4400 on youtube - obviously it won’t have the same effect if you haven’t seen the series and understand what’s going on with all the characters, but you can still appreciate the song through this video regardless.
