Daily Rec: Epic Swissness!?

Well now, tell me the truth, is this something you would expect from a group of Swiss people!? Apparently they blend a mix of traditional Swiss instruments and vocals, with traditional Celtic instruments and vocals, along with traditional battle metal instruments and vocals… What a concoction!
Something as odd as this is likely to either sound absolutely divine, or hideously disturbing… I’m glad to say that in this case it’s the first!
Eluveitie’s sound is nothing short of epic. The sound created is so powerful and atmospheric it’s difficult not to be drawn in, regardless of whether you are a fan of the ‘death-metal screaming’.
My brother was the one that introduced me to this band and I will forever be in his debt for this! Unfortunately he also informs me that of their back-catalogue this is the best and most epic of the bunch. Which is a shame, but it does give me an excuse to press the repeat button on Inis Mona!
