Once again last.fm has thrown another cracking artist my way! I don’t remember the exact station I was listening to, but I think it was the ‘filtered house’ station. Whatever it was I heard this song, ‘Peach’, by Louis La Roché.
His profile said something about trying to bring back old school french house… Well he is most certainly doing that! He’s got a simple vocal sample which is torn to shreds throughout the track, you can’t move for all the filtering going on and the beat is incessant! This man is a genius!!
Apparently he tried to pass off some of his tracks as new Thomas Bangalter songs, and some people believed him… That should not only give you an idea of his sound, but also just how brilliantly he can put together a tune!
