Recommended to me by a friend Devin Townsend (of Strapping Young Lad), is quite simply an awesome musician! Though I am not typically a fan of ‘heavy’ music I absolutely love this track!
After borrowing the Terria album this is definitely a track that stands out above all the rest (although I feel ‘Earth Day’ deserves an honorary mention at this point too).
To quote my friend, ‘Nobody’s Here’ is “glorious”. It is epic in so many ways, ridiculously heavy in many ways, touching in so many ways brilliant in so many ways! Similar to most of his other solo work this has to be one of my favourite Devin Townsend songs!
I think the thing that really speaks to me is the emotion that shines through. Even when the massive wall of distortion kicks in you can still feel the passion seeping through. There’s even room for a nice little solo, which always pleases me!
So even if you’re not usually into heavy material this is well worth a listen, or two!
